The story of Monorama Ghee began in 1951 in a quiet village of Nadia district, West Bengal, when Shri Pannalal Dutta laid the foundation of a humble venture inspired by love, devotion, and a deep respect for tradition. Named after his mother, Monorama, the brand was built on the simple belief that purity and honesty should never be compromised.
In 1975, his son Shri Samar Dutta carried this legacy forward from Guwahati, Assam—reaching households across the Northeast with nothing more than dedication, perseverance, and faith in quality. Decades later, this commitment gave rise to Shuddha Ghee, crafted specially for Bengal and neighbouring regions.

Inspired by the strong values and dedication of his father, Shri Samar Dutta stepped into the family business with a deep sense of responsibility. Carrying forward the legacy started by Shri Pannalal Dutta in 1951, he embraced the principles of hard work, honesty, and consistency. From humble beginnings to a trusted household name, his perseverance ensured that the promise of purity and quality remained unchanged through generations.
The Evolution of Monorama Ghee & the Birth of Shuddha Ghee
As Monorama Ghee gained the trust of households across Northeast India, the vision expanded beyond regional boundaries. To serve the people of West Bengal and neighbouring states, Shuddha Ghee was launched in 2014–15 as a trademarked brand. This marked a new chapter—blending the wisdom of tradition with the needs of a growing, modern market, without compromising on quality or authenticity.
